At MusicFest 2022 “The Nationals”, all scholarship, bursary and Award winners will be determined based on Honour Ensemble applicants’ audition recordings. Winners will be informed by e-mail prior to the festival. There will be a virtual Awards Ceremony broadcast on musicfest.ca during the Festival.
Only members of the six Honour Ensembles; the Conn-Selmer Centerstage Jazz Band, Thomastik-Infeld Canadian String Orchestra, the National Youth Jazz Combo, the Denis Wick Canadian Wind Orchestra, the Woodshed Canadian Percussion Ensemble and the Ellison Canadian Honour Choir are eligible for scholarships. The total value of these awards is over $100,000.00. Selection of recipients will be made by Festival officials with consideration paid to recommendations by Honour Ensemble directors and clinicians.
All Honour Ensemble participants at the 50th Annual MusicFest Canada in Niagara Falls will be eligible, provided they meet the stated criteria. To be eligible for most MusicFest scholarships, Honour Ensemble members must be enrolled in high school in September 2022; a limited number are available for post-secondary students.
