Based in Toronto, Ari is a dynamic performer, new music proponent, and educator. With playing described as “emotionally charged” (Ludwig van Toronto), Ari’s career includes performances as soloist with the PEI Symphony Orchestra, National Academy Orchestra, Canadian Studio Symphony, and Ontario Philharmonic. Ari has premiered works by Kevin Day, Jocelyn Morlock, and Rodney Sharman. Ari was a prizewinner at the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal Competition, and the winner of the Yamaha Young Performing Artists Competition. As a faculty member at Wilfrid Laurier University, Ari teaches oboe and coaches chamber music. Ari’s debut album VORTEX released in 2025 on Orchid Classics and has been hailed as “an especially good entry point into the world of the oboe” (CBC Music).
