Anna Norris is a bassoonist and educator based in Hamilton, Ontario. From 2017-2022, she was the principal bassoon of the Regina Symphony Orchestra and Regina Symphony Chamber Players, performing as soloist in Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto in E minor as well as narrator in Frederic Rzewski’s Coming Together. She also served as Principal Bassoon with the Niagara Symphony Orchestra from 2014-2017, appearing as soloist for John Williams’ bassoon concerto Five Sacred Trees. She has also appeared as guest principal with the Winnipeg Symphony and played substitute positions with the Toronto Symphony, Edmonton, Symphony, Hamilton Philharmonic, and Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.
