2020 National Honour Ensembles

It’s a week of a lifetime! Join a MusicFest Canada National Honour Ensemble.  This year’s Honour Ensembles will all perform in an extravaganza on Friday, May 22, 2020:

10:30 a.m.:   HUMBER NATIONAL YOUTH JAZZ COMBO, directed by Kirk MacDonald. Reeve Theatre, University of Calgary.

11:30 a.m.:  ELLISON CANADIAN HONOUR CHOIR, directed by Scott Leithead. Bella Concert Hall, Mount Royal University.

1:30 p.m.:  THOMASTIK-INFELD CANADIAN STRING ORCHESTRA, directed by Donnie Deacon. Special Guest Alisa Klebanov. Bella Concert Hall, Mount Royal University.

3:00 p.m.:  ELLISON CANADIAN HONOUR CHOIR, directed by Scott Leithead. Foothills Mennonite Church.

4:00 p.m.:  CONN-SELMER CENTERSTAGE JAZZ BAND directed by Christine Jensen. Bella Concert Hall, Mount Royal University.

6:30 & 8:30 p.m.:  DENIS WICK CANADIAN WIND ORCHESTRA, directed by Dr. Mark Hopkins and Dr. Gillian MacKay , and the WOODSHED CANADIAN PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE, directed by Andy Morris.  Special guest Tom McCaslin, tuba.  Bella Concert Hall, Mount Royal University.
